Julia Samuels is an artist and printmaker based in Providence, RI. 

Julia was born in Portsmouth, NH and received her BFA from Pratt Institute in 2007. In Brooklyn she participated in building and managing The Gowanus Studio Space and also volunteered during the formative years of 596 Acres, an agency that helps neighbors gain access to vacant land in their communities. After earning her MFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 2015, Julia founded Overpass Projects, an all-inclusive printmaking studio and fine print publisher.

Julia's work has been shown at International Print Center of New York, Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, and is currently on display at New Harvest Coffee and Riffraff Bar in Providence, RI. Work Julia has published through Overpass Projects has been collected by New York Public Library, Wesleyan University, Wellesley College, The Chazen Museum of Art (Madison, WI), The Spencer Art Museum (Lawrence, KS), The Allen Memorial Museum of Art (Oberlin, OH), and several private collections.
